About Hawthorndene
Hawthordene is a south-eastern suburb in the Foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges of Adelaide, South Australia. It is the home to the Blackwood CFS South Australian Country Fire Service Station. According to the 2016 census, Hawthorndene had a population of 3,299, in which 49.6% were male and 50.4% were female. There were also 923 families.
History of Hawthordene
Hawthorndene’ original subdivision was created by A.E. and D.J. Hewett in 1925. But, it was not until 1988. It is the home of Joan's Pantry Cafe & Restaurant which underwent major renovations in 2016. Joan's Pantry was first opened in 1920.

Blackwood Forest Recreation Park is a preserved area in the city of Adelaide. It is a beautiful place for a walk with your dog. There are some hills if you want a challenge while enjoying.
